This roaster has seen many iterations since it's inception back in 2007; the most recent and last upgrade was launched in 2019 called the Behmor 2020SR Plus which has proved to be one of the best upgrades since, and despite the Chinese cockup on the Australian models on quality control where the factory messed the fan wires up, and it had to be found by the Austrailan users first before such issues were eventually put right, it has however proved to be a trusted roaster which, given the skill of the user, can produce a fab roast.

Have you got one [you]?

just a tip or 2:

Load the green coffee, set for 1 lb and press start. (This automatically uses the basic profile #1.) I also increase the time to 20 minutes by pressing the + button 8 times, but this is not necessary. I only do it to make timing the roast easier.

Allow to roast for 8 minutes on #1.

At the 8 minute mark, press the #5 profile (highest heat) and press "D" to increase the speed of the basket.

Allow to continue roasting on #5 until you hear the first sounds of first crack. For me, and depending on the beans, it is usually about 12.5 to 13 minutes from the start of the roast.

As soon as you hear first crack starting, hit the "C" button (which reduces the roast time down to 3 minutes remaining before cooling begins) and press profile #3, which reduces the heat level.

Allow the roast to continue for 2.25 to 2.5 more minutes after you hit the "C" button for a medium roast, or carry on for for the full three minutes for a dark roast (but be careful; if you hear second crack hit the cool button unless you want a really dark roast).
