The Chancellor may've scrapped Sept's fuel hike in the budget, yet on a typical litre, with duty and VAT, well over half still goes to the exchequer. Yet big savings are still possible...

a) Make your car efficient (check tyre pressure & dejunk your trunk) (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheaper-fuel?utm_source=MSE_Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=26-Mar-13&utm_campaign=travel&utm_content=52#efficient).
b) You can save up to 30% with gradual acceleration & moving into higher gears sooner. See Fuel Efficient Driving Changes (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheaper-fuel?utm_source=MSE_Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=26-Mar-13&utm_campaign=travel&utm_content=53#drive).
c) Don't fill up just anywhere, use Petrolprices.com (http://www.petrolprices.com/) for cheapest forecourts.
