What stepwagon model are you getting?

we are looking at a 2009 vtec engine i think its the old shape and comparing it to another 2009 new shape model. Trying to decide between the two if you have any opinion on that? Our mechanic said great cars but can be a problem and long wait to get parts if theres problems

you'll have no problems in obtaining parts as they use CRV parts etc, and I've never really had an issue with either the 1st gen or 2 gen stepwagons, just get a good mechanic who understands Honda's, like a Honda Independant garage, not main dealer!

I had the 4WD version which is best if you want to feel safer on the road and off road situations!

ahh thank you that's really helpful, I'm not sure either is 4wd. The 1st gen has only 30000 miles and the 2nd gen has 55000. We're really keen to buy one of them but getting a tad confused with which would be better, do you have an opinion?

The guy selling said the vtec engine was preferable in his opinion.

most certainly, the VTEC is a must as it's their best engine to date, and the 2nd generation is far better in design with improved parts than the 1st generation models!
