Where do I start; this guy has messed up the cars ECU with the poor wiring he did on installing an Android headunit on my Vellfire. I have no end of DTC's now showing up, and functions such as the Cruise control and 4WD have been disabled amongst others.

I've also found him to be dishonest; do not trust him in anyway shape or form; we tried to address him with these findings, and John Lau, has now ghosted us!

sue him for the damage and inconvenience he's done. How much did he charge for the work...no doubt cash in hand?

from what I've read elsewhere, he's a known lier and fraudster!!!!

and finally, and after much hair pulling, we've found what John Lau, did wrong:

John Lau, shorted, and totally hashed up the wiring by cutting all wires OFF the original connector harness plugs without even installing another compatible harness which would suit the Android unit that was being installed, instead, he connected them all up to lever lock connectors and put the wrong wires together, and left out the Speed sensor wire which is crucial to the Speed, 4WD, Cruise control and ABS systems which became inactive as a result of this major errors; John Lau, has behaved in an appalling manner by lying, taking advantage, and ghosting us, and the garage I got the Vellfire from, and refused to return to correct things; to think, John Lau, took 11hrs to do my FAILED installation, and he must have known he'd done something wrong, as such install times are way over what it should have been, so the message is, Do NOT employ JOHN LAU to do any kind of work on your Alphard or Vellfire!

john lau is an absolute asshole. what a crook. glad you got it sorted out ;)
